Rules and Regulations

Mirror Point: (execution point)

  • Each player will submit 1 of their 6 photos face down.
  • The submission will be revealed when the pour touches the plates.

Speed Point: (3 minute rounds)

  • The barista that sets the drink on the saucer first.
  • Pours not submitted on time will be disqualified.

Difficulty: - is weighed based on the style in which you pour.

  • A Seahorse against a stack tulip would win, but against a more complex seahorse with more layers and technique will be graded as more difficult.
  • A stack tulip vs wing tulip vs multiple stacks and wings will increase in difficulty gradually.

Creativity: - The pour that represents more originality or stylization will win this point.

  • ex. Tulseta or wing Rosetta is more creative than a traditional Rosetta.
  • Personal interpretation is weighed high as well as uniqueness of the pour.

Milk texture: - the drink with tighter micro foam (From the moment it's set down on the plate) will be granted the point.

  • The more beige coming from the lines, the less you'll receive this point.

Placement/symmetry: top to bottom and left to right the pour is weighed by how centered it is.

  • Symmetry is the left and right mirrored on itself. The closer it is the more likely you'll win this point.

Color integration: how much brown is efficiently wrapped into the white of the design. Infused layers will be counted higher but overall color and pop when the drink is set down will weigh highest. Note: this is not a contrast point.

Scoring Criteria: 1 per point

Line Clarity:
